Getting started with Torevo Shipping
Configure Torevo Shipping safely, connect a Packeta Network account and verify the first shipment before enabling automation.
On this page
Torevo Shipping is one Shopify application with market-specific shipping modules. The initial release supports Packeta Slovakia and Zásilkovna Czechia through a shared Packeta Network provider connection.
Complete the setup with a test order and confirm the remote shipment, label and Shopify result before enabling automatic processing.
1. Open the setup guide
After the app is installed, open Torevo Shipping → Setup in Shopify Admin. The readiness checklist shows the required configuration without displaying saved secrets.
Prepare:
- a Packeta Network account with API access,
- the Packeta API password used for server-to-server shipment operations,
- a Packeta widget key for the storefront pickup-point selector,
- the sender label configured in the carrier account,
- at least one Shopify shipping method that should use Packeta or Zásilkovna.
Do not send any of these credentials through email, chat or a support bundle.
2. Connect the provider account
Create the Packeta Network provider account in the app and save its credentials. Sensitive values are write-only: the app records whether a credential exists but does not show the original value again.
Run the built-in connection test. Continue only when authentication succeeds and the selected provider account is reported as ready.
3. Enable the required market module
Enable only the module needed by the store:
| Module | Storefront country | Typical pickup services |
|---|---|---|
| Packeta Slovakia | Slovakia (sk) | internal pickup point, Z-BOX |
| Zásilkovna Czechia | Czechia (cz) | internal pickup point, Z-BOX |
A shop may enable both modules. Each mapping still points to one explicit module and service, so identical Shopify shipping titles cannot silently select the wrong market.
4. Map Shopify shipping methods
Create a mapping for every supported Shopify shipping title. Select the provider account, market module and exact service. Keep unmatched methods blocked until a merchant reviews them.
Avoid broad text matching. A renamed Shopify rate should fail safely and return to the mapping screen instead of creating a shipment with guessed settings.
5. Add the pickup-point selector
In Online Store → Themes → Customize, add the Torevo pickup selector app block to the cart template. Select the same market module used by the shipping mapping.
Verify that:
- the selector opens only the configured country,
- the selected pickup point survives a cart reload,
- checkout is blocked with a clear message when a mapped pickup service requires a point and none is selected,
- an unsupported country or module configuration displays a setup error instead of a misleading selector.
6. Process one test order
Create a test order with a valid destination, email or phone, a mapped shipping method, a known total weight and—when required—a selected pickup point.
Open shipment preparation and review all checks before confirming creation. After the operation, verify:
- one shipment exists in Torevo and in Packeta Network,
- the tracking identifier belongs to that shipment,
- the PDF label can be opened again from the shipment record,
- Shopify fulfillment is updated only if that option was explicitly enabled,
- the event history contains safe status information and no credentials or customer payloads.
7. Enable automation last
Enable automatic shipment creation only after the manual test succeeds. Start with a narrow rule and a small batch limit. Keep reconciliation and the needs-attention queue visible to the operator.
If a provider request ends with an unknown outcome, do not repeat it blindly. Use reconciliation first; retry only after the app can prove that no remote shipment was created.
Getting help
Open the in-app support centre or the public support page. Include the shop-safe identifier, shipment or batch ID, timestamp and safe error code. Never include API passwords, Shopify tokens, full addresses, customer email addresses or raw provider responses.
